Hi Brandon,
Happy New Year! Somehow your name doesn't show up on my list of motivators... don't know why, you were the first! But I think we haven't received eachothers progressreports.
Isn't the plateau a horrible place to be?! I hope you will not get discouraged too much, things will pick up!

Thanks Stephanie. I did manage to do pretty well around Thanksgiving, but Christmas hasn't been so good to me lately. I haven't gained any more, but I've been holding at 258 for a while now...

In my defense, there was a hair change recently!! Have to keep it up-to-date! Besides, I was distracting too many traineo men with that last one. LOL!

How's life Brendan? Are you still managing to stick to your plan? It gets harder with time, doesn't it? But we'll get there!

Hi Brandon, i just joined the site today and we're quite in the same situation. I'm sure we could motivate each other. I have 30 lbs to lose and i'm ready to change the way i see food. If you think it's a good idea just let me know. Sebastian

I read your post. Congratulations on the 10lb, Brandon. 10 lb is the entry point into "the zone." Your confidence in enhanced by the nice round number, and that contributes to the resolve. I wish you a smooth ride for the remaining 61. Just 6 more laps and a tiny home stretch.

Brandon, I am the same way! I have the restraint not to put the stuff in my cupboards, but have less restraint when it comes to putting it in my mouth. Let's just say the neighbor kids love me because I loaded up their sacks with any Halloween candy we had left over. :-) Well, Halloween is over, so we can get back on track until Thanksgiving right? Enjoy your workout today! Jennie

Well Halloween is finally here and I can't wait for it to be over. I'm the type of person where as long as there aren't sweets in the house, it really doesn't bother me. I don't sit around thinking "oh man, I could really go for some chocolate right now". But if the candy is in the house, just staring at me, I have a much harder time withholding.

Hi Brandon, I hope you'll have a great Halloween! Are there many kids coming to your house? And are they all dressed up?
Have fun,
Liz

Wow Brandon, that's great: losing another pound plus being able to control yourself with all these goodies in the house! When is the Halloween-night?

Yes, I have to admit, I've given into the Halloween candy a bit this week. It's hard to resist the power of the bite-size Butterfinger! It's really the only time of year that I eat much candy, and I've still managed to drop another pound this week, so I don't feel too guilty about it! :)

Halloween candy!! I'm tempted to ask what they are (we don't have Halloween in Holland), but maybe better not. Wishing you all the selfrestraint you need! ;)
But I hope you are allowed a little bit of it anyway

Sounds great Liz. I'll send you a request, and you can send me one back. I look forward to being motivator buddies!

And, BTW, would you like to become a motivator for me? And maybe vice versa?

Hi Brandon,
You poor thing!! I would try and find another scale. But that's probably why I'm in rather a bit of a weightproblem now! Just joined Traineo yesterday... I liked what you said about making achange in lifestyle, rather than following a diet. I've sort of become used to eating all day...
Anyway, maybe we can 'meet up' sometime here.

I bought a new scale the other day, and I immediately gained 3 pounds :(

I don't know if the new scale is more accurate, or if there is just a bit of variation between scales, but either way it was dissapointing. I'm going to log the new weight, even if it does set back my progress a bit. Hopefully it will just help to motivate me even more!
